I am hoping to close the box on my father’s guitar over Thanksgiving and then start the finishing process. If I remember correctly, I have read that Bubinga would not need to have the pores filled. I have some figured Bubinga from Bob C. and would like to know what you guys with more experience have to say. The final finish has still not been selected since I can’t decide but I will have to choose soon.

Thanks as always

Philip

I did not need to pore fill my bubinga guitar. It was not highly figured.

Phillip if you want that nice smooth glossy finish then pore filler is necessary. I also recommend Z-Poxy.

You read my mind. I just closed up my bubinga build and searched through the archives this morning. Some say yes, some say no. I'm going to FP mine so they will get filled with the use of pumice.
Whichever way you go, good luck.
